Part-Time Physician Assistant (1099) – Direct Primary Care Schedule: Part-time, 10–28 hours/week Location: In-person and Telehealth Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099) – No benefits We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Direct Primary Care (DPC) family medicine practice. This is a part-time, contract role working in collaboration with a designated supervising physician and a shared patient panel.
About the Role You will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages through a combination of in-office and telehealth visits. This role is ideal for a clinically confident, organized, and tech-comfortable PA who values relationship-based care. Typical patient volume: 5–10 patients per day Mix of in-person visits, video visits, phone, and secure text-based care Shared patients with supervising physician Responsibilities * Provide family medicine care across the lifespan * Manage acute and urgent care concerns * Deliver women’s and men’s health services * Participate in medical weight management * Conduct telehealth visits (video, phone, text) * Follow established protocols and workflows * Recognize and escalate issues outside scope or normal parameters * Document clearly and efficiently using EHR and digital tools Qualifications * Licensed Physician Assistant with family medicine experience * Comfortable caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Comfortable with telehealth, texting, and technology * Highly organized, able to multitask, and protocol-driven * Teachable, collaborative, and clinically sound judgment Preferred: Spanish and/or Somali language skills Why You’ll Love This Role * Practice real medicine with longer visits and lower volume * Flexible part-time schedule (10–28 hours/week) * Supportive, collaborative physician-led care model * Modern, efficient workflows that reduce administrative burden * Broad scope including primary care, urgent care, and weight management Our Mission & Values We believe medicine is relational and best practiced with time, trust, and presence.
