Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our Direct Primary Care Practice. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services, including telehealth consultations, acute and chronic illness management, injury care, health education and preventative medicine services. The practicioner will utilize their expertise in systems management and patient assessment to enhance patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will also initiate some integrative and functional health strategies into patient care. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide services that include hormone replacement, medically supervised weight loss, and some aesthetic services. Training is available for the right candidate.
This position currently requires a minimum of 4 days in the office per week with telemedicine coverage for members 5 days each week. Monday through Friday from 9 am until 5 pm with 1 hour lunch break each office day. The practice currently serves 250 members and patient volume is low. This slow pace creates time for longer and higher quality patient encounters as well as a low stress work environment.
Pay is based on a salaried position that increases as the practice grows.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, with a focus on helpingg patients achieve optimal wellness.
- Perform procedures such as injections, laceration repair and other common primary care procedures as needed.
- Utilize EHR platform for patient documentation and management.
- Collaborate with the collaborative physician and other staff as needed in the delivery of high quality care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Provide telehealth services to expand access to care for patients.
- Stay current with ICD-10 coding practices to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Experience in primary care/family medicine
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform necessary procedures.
- Knowledge of integrative medicine is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
