Job Title: APP, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Join an existing small private practice with 7 on , 7 off schedule working with a Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Physician (who also serves as the Medical Director ) and another Nurse Practitioner. Employment will be via the small long-standing private practice, not via the hospital. We work at Summa Rehab Hospital running a Rehab Medical service in a freestanding 60 bed acute rehabilitation hospital. As an APP, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care for our rehab patients. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare teams to assess, diagnose, and treat patients while ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of care and improving patient outcomes.
Job Overview
In this dynamic position, you will utilize your clinical skills to provide comprehensive healthcare services. You will engage with adult patients and contribute to their medical and functional recoveries through effective rehab medical treatment plans and health education. We work closely together with other medical services including Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Nephrology and Surgical and Wound Specialists. The rehab hospital is extremely team focused and work together closely with Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, Rehab Nurses, Pharmacists and Case Managers to help our patients achieve their recovery goals. You will be provided immense satisfaction with the patient continuity of care we provide, watching our patients gain independence and quality of life. Our patients present with a broad spectrum of diagnoses that lead to their need for our Rehab specialty care. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of acute and chronic disease management but with very robust consultative internal medicine and other specialty services to assist in their care, and strong emphasis on preventive health strategies.
What you’ll do
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab and specialist medical teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health management strategies and wellness practices.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Basic qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in hospital care settings
- Background in specialties like orthopedics, neurology, behavioral health, or geriatrics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage acute pain effectively using various techniques.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
