Full Job Description
Job Summary: Seeking a Physician Assistant who will be responsible for providing services that address DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre’s mission and are provided in a manner consistent with the organization’s vision and values. May supervise medical technicians and nurses, examine patients, administer drugs, order medical and diagnostic tests, diagnose illnesses, and counsel patients.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, our nursing staff provides direct and indirect patient care
- Care provided includes participating in the patient treatment regimen, prescribing, and administering medications, documenting care provided, monitoring, and evaluating the quality of care, providing psychotherapy services, and assisting in the development of treatment plans
- Multitask and provide exceptional customer service to our clients
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Qualifications:
- Graduating from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program with a Master’s degree
- Physician Assistant license in the state of Ohio
- Competent to independently perform safe physician skills and procedures
- Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations
- Experience supervising direct support staff
- Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team environment.
