Cardiothoracic Surgery PA, Casual/PRN position
Position Purpose:
The Physician Assistant provides care to patients under the direction of the supervising physician by assisting physicians in the care and treatment of patients with chronic and acute conditions. Assists physicians with initial examinations, preparing the plan of care, initiating treatment plans and monitoring the effectiveness of the plan of care.
- This specific role will assist in surgery and take call for the OR on nights and weekends
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program that qualifies for certification status in Ohio. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Licensure / Certification: Current license, certification or registration in the State of Ohio. National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in adult care, PA experience required
- Effective Communication Skills
- Maintains a supervision agreement with the supervising physicians.
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification may be required
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, self-directed and flexible
