Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our clinical team. This is a highly flexible, hybrid role combining remote telehealth capabilities with targeted in-person responsibilities based on evolving client and program needs.
This position is ideal for a practitioner seeking a flexible part-time or per diem schedule with excellent potential for long-term professional growth as our practice continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Psychiatric Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Provide safe, effective psychiatric medication management, routine follow-up care, and ongoing monitoring of treatment efficacy.
- Collaborative Practice: Work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of therapists, clinical staff, external referral sources, and community providers to ensure seamless, integrated care.
- Documentation: Maintain strict compliance with state regulations and agency standards by completing thorough, accurate, and timely clinical charting.
- Client Advocacy: Support and empower clients as they actively work toward their mental health, sobriety, and long-term recovery goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with prescriptive authority (required).
- Clinical Experience: Prior experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or addiction medicine is highly preferred.
- Specialized Experience: Experience working with individuals navigating substance use disorders, criminal justice reentry, or supportive housing systems is a strong plus.
- Core Skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication, cross-team collaboration, and strong organizational skills necessary to manage a hybrid workflow.
