Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (RN – ED)Location: Ithaca, NY 14850Assignment Type: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)Schedule: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM), 3 shifts/weekHours: 36 hours/week
Position Summary
“Navitas Healthcare, LLC” is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department to provide high-quality, direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation while collaborating with an interdisciplinary clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients with acute and complex conditions
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient status and adjust care based on clinical changes
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Perform accurate documentation, data collection, and clinical observation
- Educate patients and families to support understanding and continuity of care
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Participate in departmental initiatives and community-focused care programs
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in Emergency Department or acute care setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Education & Certifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
