A hospital in Rockland County is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their surgery team. In this role, the Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for patient care regarding patient management, diagnosis, treatment planning and ordering of pertinent tests, therapeutics and medications. About the Opportunity:
Setting: Hospital Specialty: Thoracic Surgery Shifts: Days Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30 PM
Responsibilities: The Physician Assistant (PA) will: Works closely with a team of specialty physicians to provide direct care to patients, consultations and serves as a consistent care coordinator through the continuum of care, assessing the physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs of the patient. Directs patients to the next appropriate service and tracks their progress. Assures that all patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical evaluation whenever indicated, and that all medical patient care is appropriately documented in the medical record. Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Graduation from a accredited Physician Assistant program NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license Desired Skills: Thoracic Surgery Experience
