Full Job Description

Excellent opportunity for new grads! Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team in an APP Float role. In this position, you will provide clinical care in urgent and primary care settings throughout our network. Monthly set schedule.This position includes a proctorship, providing educational coursework, oversight, and side-by-side training for up to one year before working independently. The position does require a two-year commitment. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with some weekends possible (8 AM – 2 PM).

Compensation: $98,500 to $135,000 per year based on experience

What Youll be Great At:

  • Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans.
  • Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
  • Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate.
  • Evaluating and reporting to physicians any circumstances or test results that present a significant risk to patient health or well-being.
  • Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the physician assistant license.
  • Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff.
  • Instilling confidence in patients and acting as their advocate by providing safe, ethical care and health education to the patient and family.

Your Essential Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (Required)
  • License:
    • NY Physician Assistant license (Required)
  • Experience
