Full Job Description
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to work at our cardiology practice in an outpatient setting in Oneida, NY. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can hit the ground running. Typical hours with an admin day are 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: $98,500 to $135,000 per year based on experience

What Youll be Great At:
- Conducting physical exams, assessing a patients health status, ordering and interpreting necessary tests, prescribing medications, and treating illnesses.
- Consulting with physicians as needed and referring to physicians for guidance on more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of the PAs scope of work.
- Assuming responsibility for diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues.
- Educating patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and the use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
- Working in an interdependent relationship with other multidisciplinary team members allowing for consultation, collaboration, and referral.
- Maintaining accurate, legible, and confidential medical records.
- Participating in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Your Essential Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant program (Required)
- Licensure:
- NYS Physician Assistant License (Required)
- Experience:
- Two to Three years of experience (Preferred). New grads with Cardiology experience are encouraged to apply.
