Salary Range: $82,500 – $100,000 annually. Responsible to: Clinical Services Supervisor Job Summary: The Evaluation and Treatment Center utilizes a multi-disciplinary model and includes medicine, psychology, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and behavior therapy. The Physician Assistant will work alongside the Physician and child Psychologist to provide assessments, diagnostic and treatment services for children age 2 through 21 with:

  • Learning disorders and other school-related learning problems
  • Attention and behavioral disorders
  • Tics, Tourette syndrome, and other habit disorders
  • Regulatory disorders including sleep disorders, feeding problems, discipline difficulties, complicated toilet-training issues, enuresis (bedwetting), and encopresis (soiling)
  • Developmental disabilities including Down syndrome, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and visual and hearing impairment
  • Behavioral and developmental problems complicating the full range of pediatric chronic illnesses and disabling conditions (for example, genetic disorders, epilepsy, prematurity, diabetes, asthma, cancer).

Essential Job Duties:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and performing physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in patients ages 2 through 21
  • Order and interpret laboratory work, imaging, etc.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of chronic conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Patient call in developmental and behavioral pediatrics is minimal with only a few calls a year. General pediatrics/Complex care call to be determined in one year based on staffing of MDs and mid-level providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Any other duty as assigned by your Supervisor.

Skills: Natural ability to connect with children and parents Good time management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Minimum Education Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited University in PA studies or higher Minimum Experience Required: At least 3 years’ experience working with children and families (preferred) License/Registration/ Certifications Required:

  • Physician’s Assistant, Certified (PA-C)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS)
  • Physician Assistant Licensure

Training Requirements:

  • New Hire Orientation
  • On-going training from our Physician with an expertise in the area of developmental and behavioral pediatrics

Physical Requirements:
