Part-Time Medical Assistant Instructor (Evening) Reno, Nevada Charter College

Position Overview We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced part-time (adjunct) Medical Assistant Instructors to teach in a blended learning environment.
This format combines in-person instruction such as lectures, labs, and group work with online tools including discussion boards and learning management systems. It provides flexibility while maintaining strong face-to-face engagement.
This position reports to the Program Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in student retention efforts and support at-risk students
- Deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to curriculum
- Follow course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods
- Maintain daily lesson plans
- Monitor and document student attendance and retention
- Grade assignments and submit final grades in a timely manner
- Provide academic support during office hours or by appointment
- Substitute for classes when needed
- Advise students on academic performance and school policies
- Communicate regularly with the Program Manager
- Maintain classroom supplies and equipment inventory
- Participate in faculty development activities
- Attend required meetings and serve on committees as assigned
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience in a blended teaching environment preferred but not required
Compensation Pay per course: $1,250 Paid over a 5-week class period

Schedule Evening shift Monday through Thursday or Friday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant experience: 2 years required
- CCMA certification required
- Ability to relocate to Reno, NV 89521 before starting
- Work location: in person
