Full Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for securing a medical history and physical from the patient and identifying normal/abnormal findings. Request appropriate diagnostic testing. Prescribe medications and treatments for illnesses in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform Medical Assessment of clients/patients of the facility. Complete documentation in the medical record accurately and timely recording all care rendered.
- Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment and counsel patients.
- Work collaboratively with the physician in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising care plans; assist in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to the delivery of health care services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree – Physician Assistant program required.
- One or more years’ experience working with patient population of the facility required preferred.
- Current NC Medical license and current DEA registration required.
- Ability to work with male and female adult (18+) patients with chemical dependency and mental health disorders
- Teamwork and excellent customer service
- CPI and CPR Certifications (offered on site)
