Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to patients across various settings. This position requires a strong commitment to patient health and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures for laboratory testing.
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other care settings.
- Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
- Complete Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for senior care facilities.
- Manage patient care in a Level I Trauma Center environment, ensuring timely interventions during critical situations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Familiarity with MDS assessments and discharge planning processes is preferred.
- Experience administering injections and dermal fillers is a plus.
- Background in addiction counseling or working within a Level I Trauma Center is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Must have active NC Medical license and DEA certificate.
