Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Assist in the management of acute and chronic conditions by developing treatment plans aligned with best practices and current clinical guidelines.
- Administer injections, including botulinum toxin treatments, vaccinations, and other medications while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document findings accurately and manage patient records efficiently.
- Support hospital-based care by participating in triage, ventilator management, ICU procedures, and level I or II trauma center protocols when necessary.
- Engage in clinical research activities, including data collection for trials related to pain management, infectious diseases, or other specialties; contribute to research publications or presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine initiatives, and post-acute care coordination to ensure seamless patient transitions.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
- Demonstrated experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10).
- Strong clinical skills in physical examinations, patient assessment, medication administration, and diagnostic evaluation.
- Experience administering injections (including botulinum toxin), performing suturing, phlebotomy, and basic life support (BLS).
- Critical care experience preferred—particularly ICU or emergency room experience—along with familiarity with ventilator management and airway techniques.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and radiation therapy protocols is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in hospital medicine settings such as neonatal intensive care units (NICU), pediatric intensive care units (PICU), or adult ICU environments.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education, health coaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
