Full Job Description
Lung and Sleep Wellness Center, an independent and rapidly growing specialty practice, is seeking an ambitious and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine team. We are a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic committed to delivering exceptional care to patients across North Carolina.
This role involves providing high-quality outpatient pulmonary and sleep health services under the guidance of our supervising physician. We are looking for a provider who is proactive, eager to learn, and dedicated to excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation
- Manage follow-up visits for chronic pulmonary conditions (e.g., COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease)
- Provide sleep medicine follow-up care, including PAP therapy management and education
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies such as PFTs, imaging, and sleep studies
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Educate patients on disease management, medication use, and lifestyle modifications
- Document clinical encounters thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and contribute to a team-based care environment
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina NP or PA license
- Current DEA registration, BLS, and ACLS
- 7-10 years of Pulmonary, Internal Medicine, or Sleep Medicine experience preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within a specialty practice
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the physician
