Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing various medical tasks, assisting in patient management, and ensuring accurate medical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Perform procedures such as phlebotomizing, spinal taps, and airway management as needed.
  • Manage acute pain effectively and assist in developing treatment plans.
  • Document patient encounters accurately using electronic health record systems, including Cerner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams for effective case management and continuity of care.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
  • Administer esthetic laser treatments when applicable.
  • Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate medical billing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Strong skills in medical documentation and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Experience or training in acute pain management and case management preferred.
  • Ability to lift patients as necessary during examinations or procedures.
  • Knowledge of esthetic laser treatment procedures is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
