CardioThoracic PA Opportunity

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced (minimum 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred), board certified Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant to join two Physicians and three Physician Assistants in an established single specialty cardiovascular surgery practice in Gastonia, NC. The Program currently does 300 open hearts per year, 100 thoracic cases and 75 TAVRS.

Responsibilities will include operative first assistance of cardiac surgeons (experience in endoscopic vein harvesting required as well as proficiency in First Assisting), postoperative care of ICU and floor patients as well as follow-up clinic visits.

CaroMont Regional Medical Center is a comprehensive and progressive hospital system with state-of-the-art ORs and Cath labs and an active medical staff of over 400 physicians representing all medical subspecialties including established surgical and intensivist practices. Our 476- bed main campus is located in Gastonia, NC. We also have a brand new satellite campus in Belmont, NC which opened its doors to the public in January 2025.
