JOB SUMMARY:We are seeking an experienced, skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical care to our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with board-certified dermatologists to provide comprehensive medical care to patients.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with a board-certified dermatologist to provide comprehensive medical care to patients.
- Provide excellent patient care as per Apex Skin Center and regulatory requirements under direct supervision of a board-certified dermatologist, adhering to medical board supervision requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate patient treatment in concert with Apex Skin Center’s clinical policies and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records that meet established clinical quality and compliance standards.
- Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance.
- Contribute to physician effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, providing information and commentary, recommending options, and implementing directives.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on needed actions.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Develop healthcare team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Must possess strong English oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with other medical staff and management.
- Frequently standing, sitting, and walking.
- Lifting: Average weight is 5-25 pounds for a distance up to 4 feet; however occasional need to assist patient on/off exam bed, scale or in/out of wheelchair may be necessary.
- Bending: Occasionally
- Pushing: Assisting wheelchair patients of any weight may be required
- Ability to stand for extended period, with shift lengths up to 10 hours.
- Normal vision (or corrected vision) and hearing. Eyesight must be sufficient to be able to read medical charts and computer monitors. Required vision abilities include distance vision, the ability to adjust and focus.
- Frequent speaking and hearing.
- Ability to tolerate viewing computer monitor for extended period
- Must possess manual dexterity sufficient to utilize reference materials and to type on keyboards at 40 words per minute.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree from a registered Physician Assistant education program.
- Board certification and current unrestricted state license.
- At least 3 years of experience in dermatology specialty.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
