EmergeOrtho is a leading healthcare provider specializing in comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services. Our mission is to empower patients to improve their quality of life and regain independence following chronic pain, injury, or surgery. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated PM&R Advanced Practice Provider to join our multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Located in the Triangle of North Carolina, our region employs a team of over 70 APPs across all service lines including orthopedics, orthopedic urgent care, pain management and rehabilitation, as well as bone health. We also offer in-house radiology services including x-ray and MRI, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and procedure suites in 5 locations to allow our patients convenient affordable access to interventional procedures.

We are looking for a Full-time, 8 am to 5 pm PM&R APP in our North/South Region. The position is clinic based with No Call; intermittent travel between our Durham, Chapel Hill, and Brier Creek offices is required. The ideal candidate will be expected to practice to the full extent of their licensure in conjunction with their supervising physician to provide patients with high quality, evidence-based medical care. Excellent communication and documentation skills are a must along with the ability to collaborate with patients and their healthcare team. There is the opportunity to participate in QI and research studies, if interested.

We offer a competitive total compensation package including Base Salary, Sign-on Bonus, Rural Stipend, Quarterly Bonus, and CME Allowance as well as a generous PTO Accrual package starting at 208 hours of PTO per year plus 7 Paid Holidays. Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
  • Unrestricted Physician Assistant license required
  • Medical training from an approved program
  • At least one years of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Good knowledge of medical office software such as but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, and medical practice software
  • Familiarity with EMR programs
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Performing evaluation by performing appropriate history and physical exams
  • Ordering laboratory, radiological and special studies
  • Performing diagnostic procedures such as, but not limited to, physical examination, phlebotomy, joint injections and aspirations and administering of vaccines
  • Performing therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, suturing
  • Reading and interpreting imaging studies and laboratory reports
  • Diagnosing and treating minor illnesses of employees of EmergeOrtho, P.A.
  • Telephone contact with patients as appropriate.

Other

  • Involvement in QI and research programs.
  • Attendance at educational and department meetings.
  • Coverage of other offices may be required.
