This progressive healthcare system in Northern California is actively interviewing for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) First Assist to join the Surgical Services department and provide support to Surgery procedures. This trusted and reputable hospital is looking for an experienced Surgical Services Physician Assistant to support a strong team of Surgeons and Providers. The First Assist Physician Assistant will report to attending physician / surgeon on a per patient basis, but will have the chance to work on a wide range of Surgical Specialties. The PA will work closely with CNOR Scrub and Circulating Nurses and Surgical Techs to make sure all of the patient’s needs are taken care of. In addition to the intra-operative / operating room First Assist duties, the Perioperative Services Physician Assistant will work in a multispecialty, collaborative environment to perform patient examinations, review medical histories, and order / conduct diagnostic tests in preparation for surgical procedures.
