Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including hospice palliative medicine and critical care. This role requires a strong ability to perform diagnostic evaluations, manage outpatient care, and collaborate effectively with physicians. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Administer medications.
  • Collaborate with physicians in managing cases.
  • Assist in outpatient procedures and provide follow-up care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and coding of patient information.
  • Educate patients on rehabilitation exercises in office and at home.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Experience or knowledge in hospice palliative medicine, critical care, outpatient services, neurological and diagnostic evaluations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in coding practices related to medical billing is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
