Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including hospice palliative medicine and critical care. This role requires a strong ability to perform diagnostic evaluations, manage outpatient care, and collaborate effectively with physicians. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications.
- Collaborate with physicians in managing cases.
- Assist in outpatient procedures and provide follow-up care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and coding of patient information.
- Educate patients on rehabilitation exercises in office and at home.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care within the practice.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience or knowledge in hospice palliative medicine, critical care, outpatient services, neurological and diagnostic evaluations is preferred.
- Proficiency in coding practices related to medical billing is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
