The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. Works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.

On an average day, you will:
- Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients age-specific needs.
- Assists with the provision of procedure and treatment care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions.
- Perform biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy
- Create, review and finalize patient chart notes to ensure compliant documentation and billing
To qualify for this job you must have:
- Active Physician Assistant license.
- Bachelors degree and successful completion of an accredited physician associate (ARC-PA) program.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs (NCCPA).
- Current NC Medical Board License.
- Current BLS certification.
Wed also love it if you have:
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS).
- Current ACLS certification.
Physical requirements and work environment:
- Standing and walking for approximately 90% percent of the day.
- Periods of sitting, bending, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Potential for irregular working hours.
- Fine motor skills.
