Physician Assistant Full Time for Busy Multi-Specialist Clinic, located in Burlington, NC. Kernodle Clinic is a respected and progressive multi-specialty group practice with Clinics in Burlington, Mebane and Elon. Kernodle Clinic is a multi-specialty practice with approximately 100 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers located just off I-40/I-85. Burlington is accessible as a day trip to NC mountains and beaches. Ample recreational activities, shopping, and easy access to metros (Greensboro, Raleigh and Durham) are unique to Burlington. We are seeking a patient-centered Physician Assistant to join our Neurology Department. While prior experience is preferred, we are also open to recent graduates. Applicants must have completed an accredited PA program and hold current licensure/certification to practice as a Physician Assistant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound professional judgment while working under the supervision of a licensed physician. A current BLS certification is required. Job Type: Full-time Duties Include, but not limited to the following:
- When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, uses double identifiers to ensure right patient every time.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; record the normal and abnormal data for review by the physician.
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patient’s record in EPIC; write progress note; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
- Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient
- Carry out therapeutic procedures such as wound suturing and dressing changes; monitor progress of patients, report progress to supervising physician, and maintain record of each patient’s progress.
- Goes to Alamance Regional Medical Center to do hospital consultations.
