Full Job Description
ARA Health Specialists, located in the mountains of western North Carolina, is seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its existing APPs. Responsibilities include performing fluoroscopy (including include but not limited to contrast GI studies, lumbar punctures, myelograms, intrathecal chemotherapy injections, joint aspirations, steroid injections, arthrograms, GI tube placements), Ultrasound directed biopsies (including but not limited to fine needle aspiration and core biopsies), paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tubes, aspirations and drain placement. Clinic responsibilities include but are not limited to performing hospital consults and rounding, pre and post procedural assessments. Strong clinical abilities and effective communication skills are required. Previous radiology experience and NC licensure is preferred.

Job Requirements:
- BS degree with Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification and fully licensed by the State of North Carolina
- Current CPR Certification
- Excellent telephone and electronic medical record documentation skills
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, dependability and work independently with little supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively perform job duties
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to be an efficient, cooperative team member
- Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience (six months or more) as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a vascular surgery clinic/interventional radiology clinic and hospital setting is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $158,302.00 per year
