Job Title: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Salary: Base hourly ranges from $65-$80/hour with potential of earning up to $100/hour in bonuses

Reports to: Medical Director

Status: PRN (Weekend Availability Preferred)

We are currently seeking PRN Advanced Practice Providers, with weekend availability strongly preferred, to help support peak patient volumes.

What You’ll Do

As a PRN provider, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide spectrum of acute and subacute conditions in a collaborative team environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient interviews and examinations
  • Order and interpret labs, EKGs, X-rays, cultures, etc.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Perform procedures (wound care, I&Ds, minor ortho, foreign body removal, etc.)
  • Prescribe medications, DME, and therapies
  • Provide emergency stabilization when needed
  • Educate patients and participate in shared decision-making
  • Document clearly and thoroughly in compliance with medical/legal standards
  • Collaborate with clinical team members and refer when appropriate

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has 1+ year of Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or acute-care experience
  • Is comfortable managing higher-acuity cases independently
  • Enjoys working weekends and helping cover high-demand shifts
  • Values teamwork and communication
  • Demonstrates integrity, discipline, and strong clinical judgment

Exceptional candidates with relevant experience may be considered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
  • Active National Certification
  • New Mexico Medical License (Required)
  • DEA License
  • NM Controlled Substance License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (may complete after hire if needed)
  • Eligible for malpractice coverage (provided by Duke City Cares)

Schedule

  • PRN (0–4+ shifts per month, based on availability and clinic needs)
  • Weekend availability preferred
  • Occasional on-call coverage as needed
