Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of internal medicine and the ability to manage various patient needs effectively.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving care.
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
- Administer gastric lavage when necessary, following established guidelines.
- Manage pain management strategies for patients, providing education and support.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Athenahealth or similar medical office software.
- Utilize coding and medical terminology to document patient interactions accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
Skills
- Proficiency in discharge planning and specimen collection processing.
- Knowledge of gastric lavage procedures and pain management techniques.
- Familiarity with coding practices and medical terminology relevant to internal medicine.
- Experience in a medical office setting, preferably using Athenahealth software.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a collaborative team environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
