About Us:The Center for Urology is a dynamic and fast-growing urology practice committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Our dedicated team of specialists is looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with operating room experience to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate will be certified and proficient in assisting in the operating room, with a passion for urology and patient care.
Position Overview:As a PA/NP in our practice, you will play a key role in supporting our surgical team during procedures, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are managed efficiently and effectively in the operating room. You will work closely with our urologists to provide top-tier surgical assistance, patient assessments, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures in the operating room, with a focus on urological surgeries.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and evaluations.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Monitor and manage patient recovery, both in the immediate post-operative period and during follow-up visits.
- Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, recovery, and long-term care.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner in electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in clinic consultations, patient histories, and exams.
- Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in urology and surgical practices.
- Provide compassionate care and maintain a high level of patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Certification to assist in the operating room (experience in urology preferred).
- Minimum of five (3) years of experience as a PA/NP in a surgical setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, surgeons, and clinical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid state license and DEA certification.
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.

Pay: $104,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
