Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and home care environments. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories for patients.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform procedures such as catheterization, suturing, and administering injections.
- Assist in emergency situations, including ER protocols and critical care interventions.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients in hospice palliative medicine.
- Document patient encounters accurately using appropriate coding practices for billing purposes.
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge, particularly in areas such as pediatrics and anatomy knowledge.
- Administer dermal fillers as part of aesthetic treatments when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to recognize and address various health issues effectively.
- Proficient in coding for medical billing purposes to ensure accurate documentation.
- Knowledgeable in hospice palliative medicine principles to provide compassionate end-of-life care.
- Experience or training in home care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform catheterization procedures competently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
- Familiarity with pediatric care practices is a plus.
- Strong teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines.
