Full Job Description
Our client in Mt. Kisco, NY is looking to add a full time certified Physician Assistant to their orthopedic team. The PA will work with physicians that cover: sports medicine, total joints, hand and upper extremity. First assist in OR, treat patients in office and on the floor. Monday-Friday schedule, no call or weekend requirements. Licensed new graduates are encouraged to apply, previous experience in ortho preferred.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician- Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients- Prescribe medications and therapies- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care- Educate patients and their families about healthcare management and disease prevention- Some travel required to additional offices
Qualifications:- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)- State licensure as a Physician Assistant- Familiarity with standards of care in various healthcare settings- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
