Salary: 52.29-78.43 USD Facility: Kenmore Mercy Hospital Shift: Shift 1 Status: Full Time FTE: 1.000000 Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Call Weekend and Holiday Rotation Hours: 7am-5pm, 8am-6pm, 9am-7pm, 10am-8pm Summary: The inpatient Physician Assistant is a healthcare provider who, working with the interdisciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients. This multifaceted role includes direct patient care, education, consultation, and research. Physician Assistants will be granted associated privileges by the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff. Working under the supervision of the Department of Medicine and receiving general direction and reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the inpatient Physician Assistant (PA) will provide clinical care to non-critical, non-intensive care medicine and cardiology patients. The PA will utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care, including ordering of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He/she will communicate clinical issues to the attending physician on the team, write orders according to standardized procedures/protocols, coordinate and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and facilitate arrangements for discharge. Continuity of care will be maintained from admission to discharge except with patients requiring transfer to intensive care management. The PA will interact with interdisciplinary departments to coordinate and schedule services. The PA will work collaboratively with members of the Medicine Department to ensure that continuity of care is maintained between inpatient care and referring physicians. The PA will support/educate clinical nursing staff regarding patient goals and treatment strategies. Responsibilities: EDUCATION

- Maintains Certification.
- Meets credentialing requirements as appropriate through the Medical Staff office.
- CPR certified.
EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year clinical practice experience preferred

- Computer literate
- Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills
