We are looking for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner for a part time position to be the second medical provider on Saturdays only.
Job responsibilities include:
PRIMARY CARE:- Evaluating new patients, follow up patients, and acute visits.- Perform history taking and physical examination.- Reviewing lab, imaging, and other diagnostic workup results.- Calling patients to go over lab, imaging, and other diagnostic workup.- Write orders for medications, laboratory work, screening tests, and diagnostic tests.- Fill out medical forms for patients (i.e. work forms, school forms, vaccine forms, immigration forms, etc)
Job Qualifications- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is mandatory (most of our patients are Chinese speaking individuals who reside in the local Flushing community).- Graduate of an accredited ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Associate) program.- Licensed Physician Associate by the New York State Department of Education- Current Basic Life Support certification.- EMR System experience (we use MDLand)
Job Details- Saturday only- 830AM to 430PM-No after work duties (other than finishing charting, if necessary)-One location only in Flushing, NY located on Main Street-You will have your own workstation.-We have a full time medical assistant who performs phlebotomy, EKG, vaccine administration, audiometry, retinal photography, visual acuity screening, urine collection, stool collection, urea breath testing, sputum collection, and packing to the laboratory.- Our front desk staff takes care of scheduling, patient coordination, and prior authorizations.- Given the per diem nature of this job, you can be paid OFF THE BOOKS. – Our office has two other full time PA providers. There is an upcoming office expansion upcoming in 1/2025. At that time, I will be looking for a FULL TIME PA provider. If you end up working as per diem in this job for now and this job is a good fit, then you can be considered for the full time position if desired.
