OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who speaks both English and Chines to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across various specialties, including primary care, urgent care, hospital medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and specialty areas such as gastroenterology, dermatology, and critical care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, proficiency with electronic health records (Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks), and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and post-acute care facilities. Experience with advanced procedures like suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, and telehealth is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with medical documentation standards including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and HIPAA compliance. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized services such as hospice or memory care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments across various age groups and medical conditions
  • Manage acute and chronic illnesses including pain management, infectious disease care, behavioral health issues, and post-operative recovery
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, and sterile processing
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) for accurate medical documentation and coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care
  • Assist in discharge planning, case management, utilization review/management for inpatient and outpatient services
  • Participate in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives when applicable
  • Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, medication administration, and disease prevention strategies
  • Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures
  • Support the healthcare team in managing complex cases involving ICU or Level I/II trauma center experience or emergency medicine scenarios

Experience

  • Proven clinical experience in emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/PICU), hospital medicine or surgical settings
  • Experience working in outpatient clinics or specialty practices such as gastroenterology or dermatology
  • Familiarity with medical imaging techniques like sonography or laboratory experience including specimen collection/processing
  • Skilled in managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), hospice & palliative medicine or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks; telehealth platforms; and familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding standards
  • Ability to perform advanced procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterization when applicable
  • Prior experience working within teaching hospitals or teaching hospital environments is advantageous
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy knowledge relevant to primary care and specialized fields. A commitment to ongoing professional development aligned with NCQA standards is essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Per diem

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
