Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a small rural practice. Your expertise will help ensure comprehensive assessments, accurate diagnoses, and effective treatment plans. Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history intake, and physiological evaluations.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical research to inform treatment strategies.
• Utilize and excel in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) Epic for accurate documentation of patient records, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and data management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high quality, compassionate care.
• Support telehealth initiatives by providing remote consultations and follow-up care using telemedicine platforms.

Qualifications

• Valid Physician Assistant certification with current state licensure.
• Proven experience in primary care medicine or psychiatric medicine
• Strong proficiency with our EMR system Epic, familiarity with medical imaging and diagnostic evaluation tools is advantageous.
• Demonstrated skills in suturing, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS).
• Knowledge of CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses; experience with ICD-10/ICD-9 is essential.
• Expertise in management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, type 2 diabetes, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, obesity.
• Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security.
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment, health coaching, pain management, and trauma triage.

Pay: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
