Full Job Description
Realization Center, an outpatient substance use center, is seeking to hire a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to collaborate with our team in delivering psychiatric services, a core component of our program.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one psychiatric evaluations with patients
- Diagnose and treat patients with mental illnesses contributing to or causing substance use disorders
- Serve as an educator for patients and their families
- Conduct one-on-one medication management sessions with patients
- Coordinate overall patient care with other members of clinical staff and behavioral health staff, this will require attending case conference meetings
- Conduct group therapy sessions with patients, for topics including but not limited to medication education, addiction and the brain, co-occurring disorders
- The PMHNP is actively involved with Realization Center’s clinical treatment team in planning services, setting goals, and monitoring patients’ progress in our program.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in working within the field of behavioral health treatment for substance use disorders.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and coding
- Completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, positive attitude with a team orientation
- Strong references.
