NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital was one of the first surgical teaching hospitals in the United States. Its Department of Surgery was founded by a pioneer surgeon, Lewis S. Pilcher, M.D., who also founded the Annals of Surgery. Advanced and Minimally Invasive Surgery at NYP Brooklyn Methodist continues a proud tradition.
Physician Assistant – Vascular Surgery | Full-Time, Days
The vascular surgery PA is part of a comprehensive team covering perioperative duties including but not limited to consults, floor management, discharges, and OR first-assist. PAs serve as front line providers rounding on patients, writing notes, orders, and performing necessary bedside procedures.
The vascular surgery PAs cover Monday through Friday day shift only, no nights, no weekends, no holidays.
Preferred Criteria
- At least one year of experience in surgical or critical care medicine
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies
- NYS PA Licensure
- Current NCCPA Certification
- ACLS/BLS
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance

Salary Range:
$66.95-$89.41/Hourly
