We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend expertise in injury care with aesthetic procedures. In addition to providing care for patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and/or work-related incidents, you will perform aesthetic treatments such as Botox and dermal filler injections.
We are looking for candidates with prior experience and certification in aesthetic procedures, who are passionate about patient care and can deliver exceptional results in both fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and efficient initial and follow-up examinations of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and/or work-related incidents.
- Document injury sites accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Administer trigger point and joint injections, as well as Shockwave treatment (training provided if necessary).
- Perform aesthetic procedures, including Botox and filler injections, with precision and a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
- Refer patients for imaging studies based on their injuries.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, orthopedists, pain management specialists, and chiropractors to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Discuss patient progress with the staff doctor and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in New York.
- Certification in aesthetic procedures (Botox and fillers) is required.
- Experience in aesthetic procedures with a proven track record of successful treatments is preferred.
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or related specialties is preferred, but training will be provided for trigger point and joint injections.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and potentially expand hours as the business grows.
- Primary location: 381 Rockaway Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11212 with occasional coverage at 97-08 Springfield Blvd, Queens Village, NY 11429 as needed.
