We are seeking a skilled and passionate Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Cardiology/Medicine department at a prestigious Brooklyn-based medical center. If you have a strong background in cardiology and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care under the direction of supervising physicians, performing diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, and assisting in complex cardiac procedures.
- Participate in cardiac and vascular interventions such as pacemaker placements, intracoronary interventions, and intravascular diagnostics.
- Actively participate in patient rounds, teaching conferences, and quality assurance meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and standards, including infection control, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Assist in pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac and vascular patients, including resuscitation and emergent procedures as needed.
- Document all medical interventions and collaborate with attending physicians to provide seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cardiology (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited PA program.
- New York State PA License.
- NCCPA Certification.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications (if required by the department).
