Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant – Cardiology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Opportunity Details:
- Perform physical examination and obtain medical history, order labs, ECGs, chest X-rays, etc., on consult service and pre-procedure under Attending supervision.
- Evaluate and interpret patient medications, laboratory, test results, and obtain consent for cardiac procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate referrals and follow-up for cardiac procedures (Cardiac Cath, EP Studies, Device procedures, Cardiothoracic Surgery).
- Perform cardiac procedures including Stress Tests, Stress Echocardiography, Tilt Table Testing, Nuclear Stress Testing under Attending supervision.
- Assist in Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures and perform inpatient cardiovascular consults.
- Monitor and follow-up patients in the CCU.
- Perform non-invasive cardiac stress testing under Attending supervision.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and patient/family communication.

Board Eligible or Board Certified by the NCCPA.

Licensed to practice in New York State.

Experience with ECG and blood pressure monitoring equipment.

1 year experience preferred.

ACLS & BLS Certification.
