Manager of Advanced Practice Providers – Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as the Manager of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)—leading a dedicated team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) while driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and superior patient care.
This high-impact leadership position offers the opportunity to supervise staffing, enhance patient safety, improve clinical quality, and optimize department operations. In addition to providing direct patient care, you will play a key role in mentoring staff, developing clinical programs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance healthcare services.
Key ResponsibilitiesStaffing & Operations
- Oversee APP scheduling, staffing, and recruitment across multiple departments.
- Manage time-off requests, schedule adjustments, and coverage gaps.
- Supervise payroll processes and serve as the primary liaison between APPs and department leadership.
- Maintain clinical responsibilities as an APP to stay engaged in patient care.
Education & Onboarding
- Lead orientation, mentorship, and professional development initiatives for new APPs.
- Ensure compliance with required training, certifications, and clinical competencies.
- Develop and update departmental policies, procedures, and educational programs.
Quality & Performance Improvement
- Implement initiatives to enhance clinical efficiency and patient care outcomes.
- Monitor quality metrics and evaluate high-risk cases.
- Collaborate on regulatory inspections, risk management, and compliance efforts.
- Oversee incident reporting and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with the AVP and Director of Advanced Practice Providers to develop and expand APP programs.
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to the APP team.
- Address staff concerns, ensure documentation compliance, and foster a supportive work environment.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives that advance clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), Health Sciences, or a related field
- Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) through NCCPA
- Active New York State PA license
- Three to five years of experience as a practicing PA (leadership or supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership, and administrative skills
- Experience in quality improvement, operations, and interdisciplinary collaboration is a plus

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
