Role/ Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistants and Orthopedic Nurse Practitioners

Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies
- Administer non-surgical fracture reductions
- Monitor and manage the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Perform joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections
- Administer intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound
- Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions
- Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts
- Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies
- Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation
- Ability to provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth and meet patient volume goals targeted for tele and in patient as determined
Qualifications
- 6 months of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA)
- 6 months of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections
Education Requirements:
- Master’s Degree preferred
- NY State NP License
- License Requirements: Drug Enforcement Administration
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
