Essen is currently seeking Orthopedic Physician Assistants and Ortho Nurse Practitioners. Our dedicated and compassionate team of professionals come from culturally diverse backgrounds, and they share the common vision of providing our outpatient population with the best primary and preventative health care available.

Qualifications:

1+ year of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider

(Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA)

1+ year of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections

Education Requirements:

Masters Degree preferred

License Requirements: Drug Enforcement Administration

What You Will Do:

  • Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies.
  • Administer non-surgical fracture reductions.
  • Monitor and manage the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Perform joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections.
  • Administer intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound.
  • Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts.
  • Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation.
  • Ability to provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth and meet patient volume goals targeted for tele and in patient as determined.

Experience Requirements and Preferences:

  • 1+ year of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA)

-Licensed NP in NY state

  • 1+ year of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $128,986.64 – $155,338.75 per year
