- Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in pulmonary care.
- This full-time position is based in Bronx, NY, and involves working with patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Responsibilities include patient assessments, chronic disease management, and supporting pulmonary procedures.
Requirements:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests like chest imaging and pulmonary function tests.
- Manage chronic respiratory diseases with supervising physicians.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist with or perform procedures such as thoracentesis and bronchoscopy.
- Provide inpatient consults and discharge planning.
- Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- PA: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master’s degree.
- NP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with a concentration in Adult, Family, or Acute Care.
- Current state licensure as a PA or NP.
- National certification (NCCPA for PAs; AANP/ANCC for NPs).
- DEA license and prescriptive authority.
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred if working with pediatric populations.
- 1–2 years in pulmonary, internal medicine, or critical care preferred.
