OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dermatology Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within our dermatology practice. This position involves assisting dermatologists with various procedures, managing medical records, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. A strong background in patient care and familiarity with dermatological treatments will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Assist dermatologists during examinations and procedures, including esthetic laser treatments.
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
- Support pain management strategies for patients undergoing dermatological procedures.
- Conduct outpatient follow-up assessments to monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients about skincare regimens and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff to coordinate care for residents requiring dermatological attention.
- Perform gastric lavage when necessary, following established protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in dermatology or a related field.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Familiarity with medical records management and ICD-9 coding is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on advancements in dermatological treatments.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
