OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring adherence to medical standards. This position requires a strong foundation in various medical practices, including triage and home care, as well as proficiency in systems such as Epic.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform procedures such as Botulinum toxin treatment and tube feeding as needed.
- Manage triage responsibilities to prioritize patient care effectively.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding family planning and medical-surgical options.
- Oversee the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patients requiring assistance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems, including Epic.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols to deliver safe and effective care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience in home care settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices and standards is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
