Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring adherence to medical standards. This position requires a strong foundation in various medical practices, including triage and home care, as well as proficiency in systems such as Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Perform procedures such as Botulinum toxin treatment and tube feeding as needed.
  • Manage triage responsibilities to prioritize patient care effectively.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding family planning and medical-surgical options.
  • Oversee the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patients requiring assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems, including Epic.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols to deliver safe and effective care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Experience in home care settings is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with medical-surgical practices and standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
