We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating patients with opioid use disorder, other substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis or co-occurring mental health conditions. This role involves conducting patient assessments, prescribing and adjusting medication dosages, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct medical assessments
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medication dosages for opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders, following evidence-based guidelines.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including counselors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care to patients.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure that all aspects of care are documented accurately.
- Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to prescribed medications.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in substance use disorder treatment and dual diagnosis care to provide the highest standard of care.
**Qualifications:**
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine, Psychiatry, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in NewMexico.
- Experience in treating opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of and experience with dual diagnosis or co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $108.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
