Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified PA/NP in Urgent Care/Family Medicine to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We’re all about well-being, starting with yours. We offer a nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance available, CME allowance and fully paid malpractice insurance.
Practice Highlights:
- 2.5-3 patients per hour
- 1 call shift per month
- Physician and PA/NP’s on every shift, no solo coverage
Responsibilities:
Summary:
Provide primary care services to patients, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic diseases. Services include obtaining pertinent history, performing examinations, ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory tests and prescribing appropriate medications and treatment
Responsibilities:
- Takes a history, performs assessment, forms a diagnosis, develops plan of care, and assures follow-up of patients.
- Primary health care providers, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
- Manages acute and chronic diseases.
- Orders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests.
- Prescribes treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Involved in teaching and counseling individuals, families, and groups.
- Works autonomously, as well as collaborate with other health care providers as needed.
- Serves as health care resources, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocate.
- Performs other functions as required.
Credentials Required:
The minimum requirements are as follows:
For Nurse Practitioner – Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC certification required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required
For Physician Assistant – Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.

About Department
The Presbyterian Urgent Care Program seeks a Family Medicine trained NP/PA to join our Urgent Care team in Albuquerque, NM. The Urgent Care group has 5 facilities and offers great orientation and training programs. We have a facilitated flow process with scheduled UC visits which helps with daily operations and shift lengths. There is also a focus on work/life balance.
