Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider Site Director, will act as a clinical leader and mentor working collaboratively with APPs at that site and the Medical Director to develop and improve department operations; to meet patient satisfaction and productivity metrics by improving systems and processes at the sites. The APP site director will act as a liaison between APPs at the clinical sites, the physician staff, and the corporate office by providing strong and accessible leadership.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Administration
Participate in management meetings at the site in order to successfully communicate information to APP s. Provide administrative support and leadership to the APP s at the site.
Tasks:
Attendance at the following:
- Monthly EHM Leadership Meeting
- Monthly APP Site Director Meetings
- Individual Site Department Meetings
- Monthly meetings with the ED/HM Director
- Monthly communication with APP Regional Director
Administrative Duties:
- Organize monthly schedule at the site and post on the website
- Responsible for verifying, approving and electronically submitting biweekly hours to payroll department
- Responsible for considering requests for paid time off (PTO).
- Notify Human Resources for any Leaves of Absence, Change in Status requests, and Resignations
- Responsible for arranging coverage in the event of absence from a scheduled shift by an APP. Provide coverage if no other APP is available
- Assist the ED/HM Director with yearly APP evaluations
- Assist the ED/HM Director with performance related issues
- Involvement in relevant operational functions at the site
- Onboarding of new APP s and routine chart reviews
- Exit interviews
- Recognition Projects
- Hiring, Interviewing, and Salary negotiations of new hires
- Timely communication with the recruiting team
- Observe associate practitioners during work shifts
- Assist in providing APP Professional development
- Work mentoring and observation shifts of APP s
- Responsible for other duties necessary for the efficient functioning of the APPs at the particular ED/HM site.
Clinical
The EM/HM PA/NP is prepared to deliver primary health care, including but not limited to: recognition & management of common illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department setting, some of which may be determined by protocol; provision of care across the health care continuum with emphasis on the early detection and treatment of disease as well as prevention.

- Appropriate Board Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Travel to RWJBH offices and sites
