Physician Assistant, Internal Medicine Somerset Internal Medicine Somerset The Physician Assistant, Internal Medicine Somerset will: We are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our team. The Physician Assistant will be an integral part of the health care team, working with physicians, nurses and nursing or medical assistants to provide comprehensive high-quality ambulatory care. Saint Peter’s University Hospital is a non-profit, 478-bed acute care teaching hospital sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. We employ more than 3,600 healthcare professionals and support personnel, and more than 1,000 doctors and dentists are on staff at our hospital. Requirements:

  • License to practice as PA in the state of New Jersey (pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination – PANCE) or for new graduate a temporary authorization, while waiting for license.
  • Current CDS and DEA license required.
  • BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
  • Certification Renewal Requirements- 100 hours of CME every 2 years.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
