Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, including acute care, emergency medicine, and primary care. This role requires excellent patient assessment skills, the ability to perform clinical procedures, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Administer medications and injections as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide acute pain management and triage patients effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Assist in various clinical procedures such as suturing, airway management, and IV infusion.
- Utilize EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks) for accurate documentation of patient records.
- Participate in clinical research and data collection for ongoing studies and trials.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings, including Level I and II trauma centers.
- Engage in health coaching and patient education regarding disease prevention and management.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems and CPT coding is advantageous.
- Proficient in using EHR systems for managing medical records effectively.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform procedures such as cardiac catheterization, phlebotomy, or spinal taps is a plus.
- Experience with telehealth services is beneficial for modern patient care delivery.

Pay: $79,364.70 – $95,579.00 per year
